Well Hello!

 

So you'd like to get to know me... and what makes me after all these years, FINALLY put my woodworking hobby out there, accessible to the world.

 

Well, here you go....

 

I’ve been in love with woodworking ever since my dad taught me how to cut my first board, with a circular saw at age ten! Growing up in a house with eight children, there were plenty of opportunities to fix things around the house and create new DIY projects, and some fun memories! So I worked

closely with my dad to build and learn how to use all of his power tools. As we joked in the

house, my dad is known to build things that “can withstand a nuclear attack,” so I learned

from the best and only know how to build with strength and structure. And with a degree in

graphic arts, I now have an eye for aesthetics and function. If I can pass on some of my 

knowledge and work ethic to our son, I'll consider it a win. 

 

After 20 years of working in IT Sales, my woodworking has consistently been my happy

place and stress reliever.

I don’t like to pay for expensive furniture when I have a specific vision in mind, and I cannot

find the piece that fits my exact idea. So after searching for what have envisioned for months

on end, I end up just designing and building it myself. This way I can make it the exact size,

color, and design as we want for our house. And we usually end up with alot more bells and

whistles along the way!

 

I am also a dog lover! Our family currently has 2 lab mixes, so expect to see more projects

inspired by them along the way!
